Information We Collect

Local Storage (Async Storage)

Math Hoot stores non-personal game data locally on your device using React Native Async Storage. Collected items include:

  • Total trophies earned
  • Game progress and achievements
  • Local game settings and preferences

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable a feature that does so.

Advertising & Third‑Party Services

We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements. AdMob and other third‑party services may collect analytics and advertising identifiers. Their data collection and use are governed by their own privacy policies.

  • Advertising identifiers

  • General location data (coarse level)
  • App usage and interaction data

How We Use Your Information

Local Storage Data is used solely to:

  • Save your game progress
  • Track your achievements and trophies
  • Improve your gaming experience

Advertising data is processed by Google AdMob according to their privacy policy to deliver relevant advertisements and improve ad performance.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data stored by the App. Because Async Storage keeps data on the device, its security also depends on the security of the user's device. We cannot guarantee absolute security for information stored locally.

Your Rights & Data Retention

Because Math Hoot stores play data locally, you can delete the app or clear the app data on your device to remove locally stored information. We do not maintain long‑term user profiles on our servers.

If you believe we hold additional personal information about you, contact us (see below) and we will respond to reasonable requests to access or delete data.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Web Analytics

On our website, we may use Google Analytics to collect usage information such as pages visited, time on page, and device/browser data to help us improve the site. The Analytics Measurement ID is configured via our environment and can be disabled by not setting the Measurement ID.

If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking on the web, you can use the browser-level opt-out add-ons provided by Google or disable cookies for this site in your browser settings.

Note: because most gameplay data is stored locally on your device via Async Storage, removing the app or clearing its data on your device will remove most game-related data. For any server-side or third-party data, we will respond to reasonable requests as required by applicable law.
